Worldcup #2 in Nove Mesto

After the unbeliveable Worldcupkickoff in Albstadt last weekend I had an other unbeliveable weekend in Nove Mesto, but an unbelivable unlucky one. But let’s start in the right order.

After last weekends win I was allowed to wear the Worldcup leaderjersey this time, which was an great honor. In Nove Mesto the track is quite technical and the crowd is awesome every year, so I was really motivated. But just when the start of the U23 start signal fell on saturday the pitch started. I broke my chain directly so I ran into the technical zone, but even the new chain broke again. As last one I just tried to push myself and give my best, not giving up. So I had a smooth lap (which wasn’t that smooth in real) but after I got a flat. So technical zone again. With a new wheel also the third chain stopped their work in lap three, so I was out of race with the 80%-rule. What a disaster. I really wanted to fight for the jersey but no chance this day.

The Belgian Jens Schürmanns took a well deserved win in Nove Mesto ahead of Swiss Indergand and Dutch van der Heiden and is the new overall leader as well.
