With five superb Worldcup events in the past year the Czechs have proofen how to organize a proper bikerace. Bit with this years worldchapionships in Nove Mesto they have even topped it. About 50.000 spectators over the weekend, perfect organazation, live TV coverage and a extremly crowdy and pretty demanding 4,3km lap – bikers heaven.
From 78 I had a safe but not really fast start on the fast taramac of the biathlon stadium. I didn’t jump forward really quick in the beginning. But when it came down to the second half of the race my tempo tactic really paid of and with the 8th best time on the last lap I moved up into 35th. Pretty happy with that so far.
Nino Schurter defended his world titel ahead of local hero Jaroslav Kuhlavy and Julien Absalon.
Now it’s about quick recovery for next weeks worldcupstage in Suisse Lenzerheide.
